Fund your team's Notion workspace and its AI seats with a USDT-backed card

One declined charge on the owner's card and an unpaid Notion invoice can push the whole team, class or study group back to the Free plan. Put a ScarabPay virtual card on the workspace billing page and keep everyone's pages and AI tools paid for.

What AI does once it lives inside your workspace

On Business, Notion AI works with the pages, databases and connected tools your team already shares instead of a blank chat window. Feature names and limits can change, so confirm them on Notion's plans page.

01

AI Meeting Notes

Listens to a call, then writes a summary and action items onto a page the whole team can open.

02

Enterprise Search

Answers questions from your workspace and connected apps, so a new teammate finds the onboarding doc without asking around.

03

Drafting and summarising

Shrinks a long project page into a short brief, or turns rough notes into a first draft of a document.

Why your card gets declined on Notion AI

Notion bills the workspace rather than each person, so a single failed charge affects every member. These are three common causes.

Your bank treats Notion as a foreign subscription

Notion charges from abroad and on a repeating schedule. Many local banks and some prepaid cards refuse that combination even when the money is there.

Add a ScarabPay virtual card, which is built for international online payments, and keep it as the workspace's only payment method.

New members pushed the bill above the card balance

Every member you invite is a paid seat. People added mid-cycle are charged pro rata, and the next renewal covers the full seat count, so a card loaded for last month's team size can come up short.

Before inviting people and before the renewal date, check the seat count in Settings → Billing and top up the card for the new total plus a small margin.

Billing details don't fit the card

A billing address, country or tax ID that doesn't match the card data can make the payment check fail and the charge bounce.

Use the same name and address you gave ScarabPay, and only add a tax ID if it really belongs to the organisation named on the invoice.

How to pay for Notion AI step by step

  1. 1

Open a ScarabPay account and pass KYC

Register on scarabpay.com or in the Android app, then verify your ID so card issuing is unlocked.

  2. 2

Deposit USDT to cover the seats

Send USDT from your exchange or wallet. A simple estimate is seat price × number of members, for one month or one year.

  3. 3

    Create a reloadable virtual card

Issue the Virtual card and move enough balance onto it for the first invoice plus a small cushion.

  4. 4

Sign in as the workspace owner

In Notion on the web or desktop, click Settings in the sidebar. Only workspace owners can manage plans and billing there.

  5. 5

Choose a plan or replace the card

To upgrade, open the Upgrade section and pick Plus or Business, monthly or yearly. To swap a failing card, open Billing and click Edit method next to the payment method.

  6. 6

Invite the team and test the AI

Add members from Settings; each one becomes a paid seat. On Business, open any long page and ask Notion AI to summarise it.

Virtual

Notion renews the workspace every month or every year and also charges when seats are added mid-cycle. The reloadable Virtual card stays on file for all of these charges: you simply add USDT when the team grows or before the renewal date.

Lite

Lite is used up after one payment and can't be reloaded. Notion could bill it once, but the pro-rated seat charge or the next renewal would fail and the workspace could slide back to Free.

Tips so your payment goes through

  • Copy the renewal date from Settings → Billing into a shared calendar and reload the card a few days before it.
  • Remove inactive members well before renewal: removals take effect at the next billing cycle, not instantly.
  • Yearly billing costs less per seat; monthly suits a class or team whose size changes often.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still buy Notion AI as a separate add-on?

In 2025 Notion moved its full AI features into the Business and Enterprise plans, and new workspaces generally can't buy AI on its own any more. Free and Plus include a limited AI trial. Check Notion's pricing page for what applies to your workspace.

Who in the workspace can change the payment card?

Only a workspace owner can manage plans and billing. If you are a regular member, ask an owner to add the ScarabPay card under Settings → Billing.

We subscribed on an iPhone. Can we move to the card?

Subscriptions bought through the App Store are billed and refunded by Apple, not Notion. Cancel there, let the period run out, then subscribe again on notion.com with the virtual card. Notion says payments aren't currently offered in its Android app.

Does the invoice change when someone joins?

Yes. Plus and Business are billed per member. Someone added mid-cycle is charged only for the remaining time, while guests don't count as paid seats.

What if the card is empty on renewal day?

Notion tries to collect the payment several times. If the invoice stays unpaid, the workspace is moved to the Free plan; once the card is topped up, an owner can upgrade again and settle the open invoice.
