Frequently asked questions

How do I send money abroad with ScarabPay?

Create a free account, verify your identity, top up your balance with USDT, then open International transfer, choose the country and receive method, enter the recipient details and confirm with your withdrawal PIN.

How much does an international transfer cost?

The fee is 0.5% of the amount you send (minimum $0.50). US wire transfers cost 1.5%. The fee is added on top, so your recipient gets the full amount converted at the rate shown before you confirm.

Which countries can I send money to?

Right now: Syria, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gambia, Sierra Leone and the United States. We add new countries regularly.

Do I need a bank account to send money?

No. You fund your ScarabPay balance with USDT (crypto), so you don't need a bank account or card on your side. Your recipient needs a wallet, bank account or pickup details depending on the country.

Is identity verification required?

Yes. To protect senders and recipients and to meet anti-money-laundering rules, international transfers are available after a one-time identity check.

How much can I send per transfer?

Most destinations accept between $5 and $1,000 per transfer. The exact limits for each receive method are shown on the country page and in the app.
