Meta keeps declining your card, or your ads stop because a payment failed? Fund a ScarabPay virtual Visa card with USDT and pay your Meta ad account in US dollars.
Knowing how billing works is the easiest way to stop failed payments. Your ad account uses one of these two methods.
Automatic payments
Meta charges your card every time your spend reaches the billing threshold, and on your monthly billing date. New accounts start with a low threshold that can rise as you spend.
Prepaid funds
In some countries and currencies you add funds to the ad account first, and your ads spend from that balance. You top up whenever you need.

The ScarabPay virtual card fits both: it stays saved as your payment method, and you reload it with USDT as your spend grows.
Why Facebook declines your card for ads
Meta rarely tells you the exact reason. These are the causes behind most failed ad payments, and how to fix each one.
01Payment failed
Your bank blocks the charge to Meta
Many local banks treat Meta ad charges as risky cross-border payments and decline them, especially larger or repeated amounts.
The ScarabPay virtual card is built for international online payments in USD.
02Payment method declined
Card balance below the threshold
When spend hits the billing threshold, Meta charges the whole amount at once. If the card holds less, the charge fails and your ads pause.
Load more than your threshold, then use Pay now in Billing to clear the balance.
03Unpaid balance
Too many failed retries
Each failed attempt counts. Several declines in a short time can pause delivery or send the ad account for review.
Top up first, then retry once instead of trying again and again.
04Billing info mismatch
Name or country doesn't match
A cardholder name or country that doesn't match your ad account or business details can trigger extra checks.
Use the same name as your ScarabPay account and keep business details consistent.
How much should you load?

Virtual · Recommended
An ad account charges again and again, at every threshold and billing date. The reloadable virtual card stays saved in Meta, and you add USDT balance as your spend grows.

Lite · Not for subscriptions
Lite is a single-use card. Meta could charge it once, but the next threshold charge would fail and pause your ads.
Keep your ad account healthy
Use one payment method per ad account instead of sharing one card across many accounts.
Keep the card balance above your next threshold charge, not just your daily budget.
Don't retry a failed payment many times in a row; fix the balance first.
Keep your business name, country and cardholder name consistent.
Add a second payment method in Billing as a backup.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for Facebook and Instagram ads with the same card?
Yes. Instagram ads run through the same Meta ad account, so they are billed to the same payment method.
What is the billing threshold on Facebook Ads?
It is the amount of spend at which Meta automatically charges your card. It starts low on new ad accounts and can increase over time. You can see it in Billing and payments.
Why did Meta charge a small amount when I added my card?
To check the card, Meta may place a small temporary authorization. It is released automatically and is not an ad charge.
Which currency should my ad account use?
Your ScarabPay card is in US dollars, so a USD ad account avoids conversion fees. The currency is chosen when the ad account is created, so pick it carefully.
My ads stopped because of an unpaid balance. What should I do?
Load the card first, then open Billing and payments and choose Pay now to settle the balance. Delivery resumes once the payment goes through.
Can I use one card for several ad accounts?
You can, but one payment method per ad account makes spend easier to track and lowers the chance of extra checks.
