Keep your Runway credits flowing: pay for plans and top-ups with a USDT-funded card
A client edit is due, your monthly credits ran dry mid-project and Runway refuses the card you saved. Fund a ScarabPay virtual card with USDT, then renew the plan or buy a credit pack from the web app.
Where your Runway credits actually go
Video generation on Runway is paid for in credits, charged per second of output, and the model you pick changes the rate. A little planning before a project keeps you from buying packs in a panic.
Length and model set the cost
A longer clip or a premium model takes more credits per generation, and every retry of a shot you did not like is charged again.
Preview cheap, render once
Test framing and motion with short clips or a faster model, and save the expensive final generation for the take you will actually use.
Know the spending order
Runway uses monthly plan credits first, then rolled-over credits, then purchased packs, which do not expire, so a pack bought early is not wasted.
Why your card gets declined on Runway
Runway charges the card in your wallet for the plan, for every credit pack and, on Team workspaces, for auto refill, so a failure can hit at three different moments.
Your card was declined.Your bank stops a dollar charge from a US company
Runway bills in USD from abroad. Many local banks flag that kind of online charge, especially a repeating one, and reject it before Runway even sees the money.
Save a ScarabPay virtual card in your Runway wallet. It is made for online USD payments, and you decide how much USDT sits on it.
Your card has insufficient funds.A credit pack costs more than what is left on the card
People often load exactly the plan price, then buy extra credits in the middle of a deadline. The pack is a separate charge, and an empty card turns it down.
Check the pack price on Plans and Billing first, load that amount onto the card from your ScarabPay balance, then press buy again.
Your card's postal code is incorrect.Wallet details do not match the card
If the name or billing address you typed in Runway differs from what the card issuer has on file, the address check can fail even when the balance is fine.
Copy the cardholder name and billing details exactly as shown in your ScarabPay card details into Manage billing → Wallet.
Runway web app or the iPhone app: where should you pay?
Billing inside the Runway web app
- Your ScarabPay card goes straight into Plans and Billing → Manage billing → Wallet, with Runway as the merchant.
- Extra credit packs, plan upgrades and monthly or annual billing are all handled from the same settings page.
- Workspace admins see invoices for the account and control shared credits and auto refill in one place.
Subscribing from the Runway mobile app
- An in-app subscription is billed by Apple or Google, so the card has to be accepted by your App Store or Google Play account first.
- Cancelling or changing that subscription happens in your phone's subscription settings, not on the Runway website.
- If you later want to pay Runway directly, you must let the store subscription expire before subscribing on the web.
How to pay for Runway step by step
- 1
Open a verified ScarabPay account
Register on the website or the Android app and finish the identity check so cards can be issued.
- 2
Send USDT to your balance
Transfer USDT from any wallet or exchange you use; the deposit shows in your ScarabPay balance once confirmed.
- 3
Create a virtual card and fund it
Issue the reloadable virtual card and move enough onto it for the plan plus any credit pack you expect to need this month.
- 4
Go to Plans and Billing
At app.runwayml.com click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner and choose Plans and Billing.
- 5
Pick a plan and add the card
Choose Standard, Pro or Max, monthly or annual, and enter the card under Manage billing → Wallet before confirming.
- 6
Generate, then top up when needed
Your plan credits arrive right away. When they run low, buy an extra pack from the same Plans and Billing page.
Which ScarabPay card should you use?
Runway renews the plan on the saved card and also charges it for each credit pack or auto refill. The reloadable virtual card stays in your wallet, so you just add USDT before the billing date or before a big render session.
Lite pays once and cannot be reloaded. It might cover a single credit pack, but the next plan renewal or an auto refill would bounce, so it is a poor fit for Runway.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy extra Runway credits without changing my plan?
Yes, on any paid plan. Open Plans and Billing and buy a credit pack; it is a one-off charge to your saved card. According to Runway, purchased credits do not expire. The Free plan cannot buy credits.
Do unused monthly credits roll over?
On Standard and Pro, monthly credits expire on your billing date. Max and Team allow up to one month of unused credits to roll over. Check Runway's help center for the current rules.
Who pays on a Team workspace?
The workspace admin. Credits are pooled for all members, only admins can buy more, and they can turn on auto refill. Keep the admin's ScarabPay card loaded so the pool never runs dry.
I subscribed in the iPhone app. Can I switch to my ScarabPay card?
That subscription is billed by Apple. Cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, let the period end, then subscribe again at app.runwayml.com with your virtual card.
What happened to the Unlimited plan?
Runway has retired Unlimited for new subscribers and is moving existing ones to Max. New buyers choose from the plans listed on the Plans and Billing page.
